The Importance of Universality in Philosophy

A lot of Western philosophy is hidden behind the concept of universality, he says. And so it's almost difficult to criticize principles if they simultaneously claim to be universal while not actually. Some say negating it, yes. But I don't think they did. Hitler was thought to be a product with certain idealist tradition. He defected from an Anglo-Saxon birth to support a German-filed tradition precisely on the basis that Idealism was a more active sentiment of the universal and the one in society.
