How to Encourage Your Spouse to Confession

Do you encourage people to tell their spouses that first confession? Yeah, it's a huge question. I don't think I want a spouse to live in complete isolation because then the spouse then takes on quick assumptions about how well the person is typically doing or how poorly. But I don't want the person who's struggling to give them graphic details about it because usually that actually undermines trust in a marriage every time they hear it.
