i completely agree weight lifting can be a little bit intimidating, especially if you're new to strength training. A lot of the exercises that i recommend in a lot of the routines that i have on strength running are taken from the world of physical therapy. We never really want a strength train and then go running, because we should always prioritize our sport specific activity first. So just getting started with some basic body weight exercises after a run is ideally the best way to do it.
