The Importance of Philosophical Arguments in the New Testament

I think there's very little to be said once one gets past some certain, certain obvious points about the language of the New Testament. The question was posed that way and I would argue answers itself. Once one sets aside a feeling that one must believe in the notion of eternal torment, one discovers that much of what the book says is simply a set of self-evident conclusions put together in a particular way. And just to annoy tomes, it's a philosophical argument that I routinely claim to be irrefutably true. This isn't because I enjoy any special insight.
