There was a lot of father's son like you know the jeans are just like dads which was something that was repeated over and over by lee and wrangler. i think it was this notion of traditionalism on one hand but also more playful stuff like references to dior as well. The men's western look was quite fossilized when it came to selling to the men in the 60s, he says.
