Mental Health Issues Playing Into Gun Violence

In 2020, there were 614 mass shootings with 446 deaths and 2,515 injuries. That was 180 more mass shootings than in 2019. In 2021, currently, so as of today, the 8th of April, when we're recording this episode, we're currently at 167 deaths from mass shootings. So if we continue with how we have so far in the year through the rest of the year, it would be 618 deaths, which is a 28% increase over last year. It's clear that in the US that there needs to be a lot more done to improve the mental health of Americans.
