Is Marks a Materialist Historist?

i was wondering how specifically i would call their forms of history different. But they're both against a certain other kind of historicism. You have nicha's kind of an ecstatic existentialist histor ist versus marks, who's a materialist historicist. How do you compare ther views of history? And maybe fitted into the rest of the stuff that we've been yammering on about,. could you ask a bigger question? Well, that's why i said he's good o to i'm interested in the history question.
