There's nothing about us that attracts us to god. He didn't choose us because we were good, because we were better or because of the time that we lived. All those things are irrelevant when it comes so there's no condition. It's not as if god was selecting a basket ball team for himself. If you take that view, god looks down the corridors of time to see what we will do, you now have a time bound god. You don't have an eternal god.
