AVAPS - What's the Difference?

Bracy: The literature based on this mode is not fantastic in the non-invasive world, but it's really lacking here for AVAPS. He says if you're titrating up your IPAP, EPAP, S&T, BIPAP to like 26, 28, 30, you're not going to see any difference with AVAPS. So what would I say? Here's the settings I would put a patient on when I do AVAPS. Title volume 8 to 10 mL are not patients with type 1, ALI or ARDS; they could slightly tolerate higher title volumes.
