The Importance of the Hebrew Scriptures in the Early Church
God had not previously given an exhaustive and definitive list of these are the books of the Hebrew scriptures. There was not a list to be able to go off of. In fact, when the church gave us the first list of books of the Bible, that wasn't until the year 350. So in the early church, what books were they reading? Now it's important to understand that at one point, and when Alexander the Great conquered the known world, he translated when he didn't do it.
