Transylvania - What Was It Like After 1571?
After 1571 the death of the prince several hundred years of term will come to Transylvania. For about two decades after 1571 there was a very mild repression because the diet resisted the rulers heavy-hand. After that especially with the onset of Catholic princes they brought in a more heavy-handed approach so church confiscations happened, beheadings happened, property confiscation happened and so without any financial remuneration of those damages. By the 1700s mid-1700s the number of Unitarian churches declined to maybe about a hundred or so. The main church in Polish where I was taken away from them out of the property their schools were closed as well.
