What Makes a Prize Winning Book?

If i was a woman, i'd like to think i would still stick up for the other guy. Some of my favourite women authors are daphne de morier and svetlan alexeyvitch. I don't know what makes a prize womin book. Don't know if i could answer that question. And some of the best books are painful. But i am not harold bloom.
