The Contradiction of Socrates and the Greek Myths
Socrates is critical of the Greek gods, right? And he presents a picture of the gods that's quite different from what you read in Homer, for example. But there's another sense in which Socrates is super traditional. He embraced so in Homer, there's a fundamental contradiction. We see this elsewhere in the Greek myths where we got these two contradictory views: Zeus commits all kinds of crimes and adultery but also an agent of justice.
