Edward Said's Harem

My White Castle is influenced by Edward's Orientalism, and later I learned he also taught it in his classes. Harem was not an Western imagination, was a purely Muslim, or oriental invention. Yes, they orientalized everything, but actually, there was a harem,. He never mentioned, he never wrote about Ottoman Empire, this is my now nationalistic take. Orhan Pamuk has no fear about standing up and defying President Ordian, but he's still nervous even after Edward Said passed away of speaking.
