The more deeply we know something the more we will ultimately end up identifying with the alien. As soon as we are capable of thinking of ourselves in this much less sort of limited and parochial way, then whatever alien intelligences we encounter will no longer be alien by the time we encounter them. The last thing I want to yeah aliens are weird until they're not right it's sort of like, yeah, when we're children and boys and girls. And it's like that's the alien. Oh wait that never goes away guys are still weird.
