The Importance of Consciousness
Jung was not attending Nazi rallies every day of his life. He never did attend a Nazi rally. And if I mispronounce that word Nazi in the 1930s, he was far too busy and farToo busy in all kinds of ways to carry the psychotherapy project forward under attack. It was as if he wanted us to balance the understanding of the unconscious with an understanding of consciousness even granting consciousness is the smallest part. We've developed either defenses as Freud said or fictions as Adler said.
