How to Analyze Horse Racing Performances
Vince: I'm a big believer first and foremost you need to be able at least time horses from the 1200 home. In most races you're going to have 80% coverage of time data about performances of horses. If you're only given 40% of the race to analyse from a data perspective you're in more trouble than someone who's got 80% to analyse, Vince says. He adds that pressure in direction of rider decisions and ultimately the pressure of the race because sometimes it's created in some cases.
