"For him to be allowed to come and sit next to me in such a public setting was very, very telling. And immediately I knew, oh my goodness, this is who they're going to have me marry," she says of her cousin Fred. "I literally just leapt up and fled the room and went running into my mother's room." The pair were first cousins but had never met or spoken before. She later found herself sobbing as he tried to convince her that something wasn't being told.
