The Importance of Clearing the House After the Death of Your Dad

After his death, being the only child, I imagine quite a lot of the responsibility for just the ghastly things that you've got to do when a parent dies. They're sorting out the finances, they're clearing the house. It basically all fell on me because so my mom has as mental health problems and events like that can trigger her illness. And I just lost my dad. So I remember thinking if I have to deal with my mom having an episode, whether that's a manic episode or becoming depressed, I'm not going to be able to cope. My dad was a hoarder. His bedroom was piled full of papers, old work reports, all kinds of stuff.
