At 100 kilometers, there's so few air molecules that there's nothing there to scatter sunlight. There is no blue sky because there's no sky. The nighttime universe reveals itself while the sun is also in the sky at the same time. But if you get far enough out of Earth, far enough away from Earth, you light, yo, I think we're in a black neighborhood.
