Common Grace in the Christian Tradition

Christianity always depends and it's theological grammar on philosophy always, but it's contextual. The reason why the early church used Plato in Aristotle or the Stoics is because of the sociological context. In their understanding, if you're just appealing to nature, qua nature, then you're going to presume that the unbeliever will always have an agreement with you. And so natural law can become a preamble toward supernatural revelation or the reception of supernatural revelation.
