The Importance of Ptolemy's Solar Model
Astronomers noticed an important oversight in the alma jest. Ptolemy's solar model had been developed to account for the so-called solar anomaly. When Alma Mun's astronomers checked the position of the solar apogee, they noticed it had moved. This change is real, but also very slow, shifting by around 2 degrees per century.
