Songbird by Christy McVee
Songbird is a song by the late Christy McVee who was a member of Fleetwood Mac. She wrote it in a half an hour around midnight one night but didn't have anyone around recorded to ensure she did not forget the chord structure and melody. The next day she went and met with a producer at the Sal Salido record plant where they recorded it. "The ambiguity of Songbird captures really what I think is the essence of selflessness of love for someone or oneself," says Ostrum Update co-host Corey Anderson.
