The Brihadkata is not a religious text, it's legend. It's like a lot of the rings. The panchatantra was written to educate princes. There are very few books to instruct you on how to conduct your life as a citizen. And my favorite philosopher of them all is a guy called Jairasipata. He takes every single Indian philosophy that existed until that time and deconstructs it.
The task of nation-building did not end with our founders, and does not stop at our politicians. It's up to us to build the India we want to see.
