The Heart of a Mentor

Mentoring well is about passing on a love for and a vision for all that encompasses the truth and the best in life. It might be coach, cheerleader, trainer, instructor, director, guide, inspirer, friend. C.S. Lewis and J.R. Tolkien co-mentored one another by meeting together as a group called Inklings. Annie Sullivan was mentored by Helen Keller. So we find that the heart of a mentor is to pass on goodness, love, beauty, faith.
