Anders Wept So Hard and So Loud That It Surprised Him Andrers Andrer
Anders's father died without debt and having paid for his own funeral arrangements, both being matters of principle for him. Anders was seized with the idea that he should dig his father's grave, dig it himself. He almost called the graveyard and asked if he could but then said to himself, this is crazy. Andrers had thought he would hate the funeral service. It was comforting to be with these other people who came to offer their respects. And they spoke in a matter-of-fact fashion that was firm without diminishing the enormity of the sit ation.
