How to Confirm Tube Placement With Ultrasound
The first thing you'll see is the trachea dead center. You're going to look for the presence of a tube within it. The esophagus in general is deflated and looks like a small circular tube. It's pretty obvious when an endotracheal tube is placed incorrectly there.
