The Stochastic Background in the LIGO Band

LIGO is very sensitive to high-frequency gravitational waves. It's so high-frequency that if we could hear gravitational waves, there's a one-to-one mapping to the human audio band - which is a really neat thing. And as we develop more sophisticated instruments, then we can dig in, go down to lower frequencies and find things at lower volumes. But before then it was still making gravitational wave, it's just that that wasn't detectable. That's right. The volume was too low exactly.
