The Importance of Standardization
There are just some things that should be standardized and aren't. Or they are standardized, but no one gives a shit. I cannot tell you the number of bulked HDMI ports I've seen from over judicious attempts to make it a USB port. Who designed RJ45? Well, who designed USB? It's the exact same size, yeah. Why wouldn't they just make it a little bit bigger or smaller? Oh, hell, I just tried to plug a USB thing into Ethan at the other week. He was all working fine, but it just was being really slow. The cable was in seemingly, and no, it turned out the cable was half in.
