In the 80s, Daryl Purpos and Richard Munchkin took a shuffle-tracking computer to Europe. The idea was to try to track clumps of cards through the shuffle. They built their own shoes with only two buttons that could control 16 or 17 different commands. Eventually, Nevada made it a felony to use a computer in the casino.
