Climbing Equipment in the Peruvian Amazon

Petelans are so integral to cultures, to communities, to the environment. They're sort of unsung superheroes in the fight against climate change. And once the Petelans are gone, that's it - they accumulate so slowly. What happens is that there's a demand for a fruit called aguaje from the Pam Maritia Flexosa. By failing those trees, the peatland area is damaged in Peru. So what communities are doing are finding interesting and inventive ways to get that fruit,. but without damaging the surrounding area.
