I mean, we were joking earlier, but it's worth repeating that as a part of a company, I'm the only person who didn't have to actually interview. There was no kind of thing. I love that. I actually decided we should make her. And so we should never, ever, ever presume that just because someone is starting a company that they actually, I mean, the evidence is actually that someone is more likely to start a company because they couldn't work somewhere else than because they could. So we have to be like incredibly, incredibly careful about, so one of the things that I worry about is, but it's all well done. It's all well and good for me to come on. And I spoke to you about this a couple years ago. And I say, like, this is how I think about things. I don't know if it's right or wrong. I have to believe it's right because I'm going to make best. Exactly. In line with this. I spend a lot of time worrying about them thinking about it. I don't know if it's right. I don't necessarily know how to translate into something that someone else could pick up and follow. And I know that if we go out and we get a line of folks who are, who have started companies and we collect all of our opinions, like I'll be shocked if any of us agree on anything, right? And it's very difficult to think about what would those commonalities be that you could pick up on. In fact, I'm reminded one of our earliest investors gave me this line, which I've never forgotten. And I think about a lot, actually, he said, look, we're going to invest in prefect. We all know that you're going to make mistakes. What I'm investing in are original mistakes. I love that. Right? If you go out and all you do is make the same mistakes that I could have gotten in some other company, then there's no ROI on this investment. I can buy those mistakes somewhere else. And I think that in some ways, this pursuit of original mistakes is sort of what one is doing as a startup founder in a constructive way. They can't stay mistakes. We got to fix them. But we never go out. All right. At least I think it's an incredibly, it's a huge red flag. If someone goes out believing that they are going to do things right, it is one of the most dangerous attitudes. Instead, our skillset, and here I'm using R to mean my collective company, right, our skillset is to go out and count through a mistake, which we must, because we're trying to do something new. So we must not do it perfectly at first. If ludicrous to think we do it perfectly, we think it's how we do it. And count to that mistake and fix it and move on to the next one. And that's the skillset over and over and over that I think we need to optimize for it. And again, I said it earlier, founders, you're getting a masterclass here because the circumstances have changed. And you're watching in real time how obviously I'm talking my book here. So let's be very clear. I have a rather large investment in brief and obviously I wanted to succeed and I'm going to have blind spots because of that investment. So I know disclaimer, disclaimer, but these are real disclaimers, right? They're true. I bought in. I still believe the fact that we have a joint financial incentive doesn't preclude the fact that we are very interested or it may in fact enhance the fact that we are interested in maximizing the outcome. Totally. Yes. And what I'm speaking here is the strategy that we have put in place to achieve that. So is it wrong? Of course it's going to be wrong because we're making a mistake somewhere in what I said. I guarantee it. Something I've said here is very wrong, making all of it. No, that's my job. That's my job. That's fine. You tell me that it's wrong. But it's so easy. No, no, no, no. It's my job to be wrong. Oh, that's fine. You've been trying to take that from me. You'd be wrong as much as you want. I'll be wrong as much as I want it as long as we don't make the same mistakes everybody can have. And hello, wisdom of crowds, cognitive diversity. Of course we got to be wrong in different ways or we're fucked. So this is such a great point and it's so important, which is, and again, I'm going to talk the book that I keep hounding everyone to read, the beginning of infinity by David Deutsch.
