Hiring is first and foremost a discernment process of God's will. Sometimes what looks like externally, the best candidate is not God's for you in your situation. If you're leading a nonprofit, you're leading for Christ. Don't hire on potential alone,. expect a four year runway, understand your power as a supervisor or boss. Include multiple people in the interview process; follow through on references diligently.
