The Importance of Humility in Civil Discussion
Gloria Borger: One of the things we lose by focusing on outcomes instead of principles is civil discussion. She points to a debate between Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter back in 1976, which she says was incredibly civil towards one another. Borger: The hate that Twitter foisted upon these people, it was astonishing. So again, we're going to get the politics we deserve.
