I do think that, you know, there will come a time when we will realize that we were disenfranchising people whose interests were very much in play in the decisions that we made. There are studies that suggest that if the voting age had lowered to 16 for the Brexit referendum, thatBrexit would not have gone through. I'm actually writing another paper now where I deal with some of the objections. One of the first things you have to think about is who has the burden of proof, right? Now, you would think that the 18-year-old threshold is so well established that the burden ofProof falls to a person like me who would change it.
