The Importance of Echolocation in Whales
Echolocation gets lumped in all whales, also all bats, which is also not true. It's extra confusing because when you just glance, you're like, yeah, but the sperm whale does echolocate. And it's the same size as like five others. Enormous. Echolocation is especially handy for hunting. But if you're 60 feet long, I wonder if that is even... So to speak, pings on the radar. Like maybe shoals of fish. Or clouds of plankton.
