In the late 19 seventies when at the cleveland clinic i was a chairman of the breast cancer task force and a head of the section on thyroid and para thyroid surgery. I began to feel that there would be much more bang for the buck if we could look at the leading killer of women and men in western civilization, cardio vascer disease. In this global review it was apparent that there were multiple cultures where cardio vascular disease was virtually non existent. The common denominator became, for those individuals, the fact that they were eating whole foodant ase nutrition, essentially without oil.
