Was the Redskins Really a Throwback?
In September of 2020, months after losing the Red Skin's name, the team launched Washington Journey. The website allowed anyone to submit their ideas for which direction the team should go with its branding. One idea in particular surfaced by designer Jesse Alcree suggesting that they should change to the Columbia Red Tails. He redesigned to the uniforms, swag, and even cast vision for what the stadium could look like.
