The Long Run Effects of Cash Transfers
The number of RCTs that have very long run follow-ups is still pretty small. The graduation approach which is one of these holistic programs that I mentioned there is some evidence from India and Bangladesh that the impacts continue to persist over time at least for seven years after the intervention is over. It does seem to be the case that giving cash transfers even over you know the course of nine months or a year doesn't allow people to invest but as it's been given out now not not super exciting for the very long haul.
