What's Above the Surface?

Last week we looked at the trinity of points of view in a story. Shan: This week, i want to talk about what's going on above the surface. Shan: I feel like i have the hardest time kind of wrapping my head around exactly what we're talking about. And so what i'm trying to do is to boil it down int actionable things that the writer can consider and then make sure that it works.
