Paul Newman set up a group called lawyers for nature after the Sheffield Tree scandal. A developer wanted to chop down over 100 trees in Wellingborough, England. Newman gave advice on why it was probably unlawful to chop those trees down because they had tree preservation orders on them and thought that would be enough to save them. But he says police still wanted to help chop them down anyway. "It's literally like an automaton"
