Addiction, Bug, Hungry Ghost, That Hunger Inside

addiction is related to the trauma of an emotionally empty childhood. Many kids come from homes where parents haven't figured out a way to fit together and give the kids those kinds of states of being that you describe. It's enough that the parents are too stretched and too busy to satiate the child with the presence and with the acceptance and with the attunement that the child needs. And when that child is not satiated, there's an emptiness inside. That emptiness has to be filled somehow. Hence the title of my addiction, Bug, Hungry Ghost - "That hunger inside"
