Is Wisdom Increased Over the Lifetime?

In the United States, it turns out wisdom does increase over the lifespan. In Japan, the average 35 year old is about as wise as the average 60 year old in the United States. That involves critical contemplation, purgation and purification of knowledge with practical implications that leads to self transcendence, tranquility, and elevated insight.
