The cells are chromosomeally female, starting from a single X, Y, male. The next step is then to get two X chromosomes. Instead of trying to insert an X chromosome from somewhere else, they cloned these cells again and let them reproduce until there was another mistake. They added a compound called reverseine, reverseine, which promotes errors, basically causes more errors. And then in that way, they got these cells which had two X chromosomes - but it does not make a baby mouse.
