Silicon Valley Bank was a victim of low interest rates and then the venture bubble in 21 and 20. Huge amounts of money came into these venture companies and they showed up on deposits at Silicon Valley Bank. The bank's customers, all those venture backed companies were burning cash and the venture markets were closed. So it was such a basic fundamental error.
