Is There a Model of Socialism?

I'm very fond of and I think you've been, you know, much more critical of the model that David Schweikart proposes in his book After Capitalism. But for a variety of reasons, it's not just that you'd have an economy that was exactly like this one except somehow worker owned firms would be dominant within it. So there are also maybe a lot of reasons that we want the state to have a bigger role in the economy as opposed to just different groups of individual workers.
