Cynthia: I find labels quite reductive in some sense, because I didn't feel fully encompassing of what I'm actually feeling internally or what have you. But then there's also the autistic part of me that really wants those labels as just anchor points to be like,. and also it's a shorthand rather than trying to explain to someone all this exposition about yourself. It is just a very optimized way to get across how you perceive of yourself. She says her identity fluctuates over their lifetime; who you identify as might be different in your teens, to your twenties, to your thirties, to your forties.
