The Importance of Physical Education
Artistic activity makes us inwardly rich, too rich, in fact, so that it must be modified in some way. By forcing the intellectual powers of children, we hinder their growth. We liberate those forces by approaching the intellect through art. All physical culture has a definite relationship to a child's sleep. Any one who must continually cast off the body to become immersed in thought is no real thinker.
