Sally Kohn: There's nothing inherently wrong with habits. She says habit formation aims to offload our conscious choices on auto and put it on autopilot. But once it starts interacting with other components of our lives, she says, the loop really can't be valid in that case. Kohn: Despite its popularity, there is very little evidence that actually suggests or supports the notion that it produces sustainable change even among simple behaviors like faucing.
