The Combat System of Combat of Heroes

Company of Heroes has a system whereby every attack is of a certain kind of damage and the unit based on its attributes, mostly whether it's infantry or light vehicle or heavy vehicle will either get to roll a defense against it. The only other complicating factor on top of that is because we've chosen to use these quote unquote advanced rules for high explosive. I'm glad it feels like the video game because it certainly doesn't feel like anything else. No. It is as related to any notion of my understanding of warfare or any other board games representation of World War II combat than orbital bombardment.
